Wylde Kingdom Forecast: Moldy with a Chance of Motorcycle!

My workbench is covered in molds.

I might have gone a little crazy in the mold department.

But I've been experimenting with hot glue and molds and it is SO MUCH FUN!!!

I can't seem to stop.

And now I have half a million cupcake decorations.

So I guess I'd better made some cupcakes.  :)

Also...

My baby dirt bike finally moved to my house. She needs a bath, but she's HERE!!!

I have the perfect place to ride her: private roads, 10 mph speed limit, very little traffic. And since it refuses to snow here, even though it IS November, I might as well get in some (badly needed) motorcycle practice.

Perfect!

Oh.... and I will have some gingerbread houses to show you very soon (I love THOSE molds too!)

I hope that if you've been busy it's with things as nifty as molds and motorcycles!

  1. Wow! That is a lot of molds! Are the molds made by you? Or just the bits that get molded? I have a lot to learn about molds! I Love the gingerbread houses... and can't wait to see more!

    1. Hey Daydreamer! I do make some molds myself (when I need something really specific), but the ones in this picture mostly all came from Etsy and eBay. They're kind of an addiction at this point.

The gingerbread house molds came from Ruth Stewart - http://stewartdollhousecreations.com/ and she makes a bunch of REALLY cool molds. You should definitely check her out. And the gingerbread houses are so cute. I can't decide how to decorate them, so they're not done yet, but I need to quit deliberating and just DECORATE them.

More pictures soon! Thank you for stopping by and commenting! And let me know if you get into molds. They're pretty fun. :)

  3. I love love love those little molds that made the candies you did with the hot glue in colors! Smashing! Why didn't I think of that? To explain, I am working on a 1:6 scale gingerbread house and have found some christmas ornaments in the right size but would have liked to make my own. Thank you for this tip, I couldn't imagine making all of the candies myself from polymer clays though I had begun. Now beginning to troll etsy for mold makers...lol

    1. Oh wow, Lisa! This could be perfect for you! I didn't think about trying hot glue in a mold until I saw a tutorial for it on YouTube and thought it was pretty smart! It IS a colossal pain in the butt, but I think it's worth it. And once you get used to it to where you're either no longer burning your fingers or have finally burned all feeling out of your hands, it goes pretty well.

Can't wait to see what you come up with! Good luck!!
